Life is hard. (sin *the*: hablamos de algo en general)
¿Cuándo SÍ se usa *the*?
Cuando el sustantivo es específico y conocido por ambos: *The music at that party was terrible*.
¿Por qué está mal *She is teacher*?
El inglés obliga a usar a/an con sustantivos contables en singular: *She is a teacher*.
¿a o an? → hour / university
in = periodos largos (in July, in the morning); on = días y fechas (on Monday); at = momentos exactos (at 7 o'clock, at night).
"En la mañana" vs "en la noche" en inglés
in the morning, pero at night (no *in the night*).
in / for / since con tiempo
in ten minutes (dentro de); for three years (duración); since 2021 (punto de inicio).
¿in the bus o on the bus?
on the bus / on the plane / on the train, pero in the car / in a taxi.
depend on, think about/of, arrive in (nunca *arrive to*).
listen TO something, wait FOR someone, look FOR something (y enter sin preposición).
